What Personal Data do you collect on your websites?
We may collect and store personal or other information that you voluntarily supply to us online while using any of our Web Sites (e.g., while on the site or in responding via email to a feature provided on the site). Tematica collects personally identifying information from our users during online registration and online purchasing. Generally, this information includes name and e-mail address for registration to receive one of our free newsletters and name, postal address, and credit card information when purchasing one of our paid newsletters or products. All of this information is provided to us by you.
How is the data collected about me from the website used by Tematica?
We use the information we collect from you while you are using the Site(s) in a variety of ways, including using the information to customize features, access premium content and advertising that appear on the Site(s). We also may provide your information to third parties, such as service providers and contractors to provide services tied to the site, such as subscription data for email newsletters and podcasts. We do not share this data with third-party advertisers or partners to track you behavior across the web.
Does Tematica collect my email address?
Our servers do not collect your E-mail address. You have to specifically provide your email to us when you sign-up for one of our newsletters; purchase a product or service from us; or respond to an offer, survey, poll, or any other interactive communication in which an email address is required. We also collect your email address if you chose to initiate a communication with us via E-mail.
How is my email address used?
When provided to us, your e-mail address will be used by Tematica to: send order confirmations; to deliver the newsletter or information you requested or purchased, such as a newsletter or special report; and to e-mail news, information and offers from various Tematica properties that we believe will be of interest to you. Also, from time to time Tematica and it’s affiliated entities will provide to you special offers of products and services.
Though we hope you gain value from the messages you receive, you can choose to opt-out of receiving further messages by clicking on the unsubscribe link provided at the close of each e-mail. We will honor the change to your account preferences; however we also advertise on many other Internet and email outlets. Therefore you may see our advertisements in connection with other websites and email outlets. We will ensure that they offer you the ability to opt-out from their messages.
Will you rent or trade my email address?
While we do not rent or trade your email address, we may from time to time send you special offers and advertisements for products or services offered by third parties. We will not disclose any of your personal information to such third parties when we do this.
If another company purchases a newsletter or a product from Tematica to which you are subscribed, then your email address will be provided to that company so that they may continue to fulfill the subscription you signed up for. Tematica will retain a copy of your email address and may continue to e-mail news, information and offers from Tematica properties that we believe will be of interest to you.
How is my postal address used by Tematica? Will you rent trade or sell my postal address?
Yes, Tematica makes our members’ names and addresses available to other mail order companies on a one-time use, rental-fee basis. We carefully choose who rents our names and only rent to companies offering goods or services that we think would be of interest to our members. If you would like us to remove your name and address from the rental file, please contact customer service and we will take your name off the list.

What are “Cookies” and “Web Beacons” and what do they do for me?
In order to provide better service when you return to our Web Sites, Tematica may use Cookies and Web Beacons to store your preferences and information about such things as items added to your shopping cart, purchases you have made with us, what pages you visit, and past activity at a site. Tematica may also employ Web Beacons from third parties in order to help us compile aggregated statistics regarding the effectiveness of our promotional campaigns or other operations of our Web Sites.
“Cookies” are tiny pieces of information stored by your browser on your computer’s hard drive. Cookies are also used to ensure that you are not repeatedly sent the same banner ads and to customize webpage content based on your browser type (Netscape or Microsoft Explorer, for example). Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies.
Web Beacons – sometimes called single-pixel gifs or clear gifs – are used to assist in delivering cookies on our Web Sites and allow us to count users who have visited those pages and to deliver co-branded services. We may include Web Beacons in promotional e-mail messages or our newsletters in order to determine whether messages have been opened and acted upon.
If you want to disable cookies, there is a simple procedure in most Internet browsers that allows you to turn off cookies. Please remember, however, that cookies may be required to allow you to use certain features of our Web Sites.
What about data security?
To ensure the security of your data – including address information and credit card numbers – Tematica always uses industry-standard encryption technologies when transferring and receiving consumer data exchanged with our site. We have appropriate security measures that protect against the loss, misuse, or alteration of information that we have collected from you.
