Has Starbucks gone nuts? $SBUX

With a Venti Mocha Cookie Crumble Frappuccino weighing in at shocking 610 calories, Starbucks is not likely moving off our Fattening of the Population thematic anytime soon. But it is a company with a track record of responding to market tastes, and the reality is that Americans are consuming far less cow’s milk than they once did. Taking its place? Nut-based milk for one — almond milk, cashew milk, etc. If you haven’t tried it, there’s nothing quite as delicious as a cold glass of chocolate almond milk! But the question, of course, will be if people order it with their coffee?

“I’ll take a venti, half-caf, no-whip mocha with a pump of vanilla and half almond, half coconut milk please?”

We’ll be happy to keep using our mobile ordering feature at Starbucks and skip the line entirely — thank you Cashless Consumption!

Starbucks Corporation‘s recently announced that it will be introducing almond milk in its stores, in addition to the other non-dairy alternatives such as coconut milk and soy milk, which are already sold by the coffee giant.
