Does the stock market have another gear?

As Matthew Broderick’s character Eugene Morris Jerome in the movie Biloxi Blues stated:

“Man, it’s hot. It’s like Africa hot. Tarzan couldn’t take this kind of hot.”

Here in Washington, DC this weekend, we broke some records with heat index readings in the 110 to 115-degree range. That’s probably beyond African hot!
