Mixed Economic Signals Vexed the Market Last Week.Â
The fourth quarter of 2016 kicked off last week with a mixed bag of data. On one hand, we had the biggest expectations beat for the ISM Non-Manufacturing survey for the entire economic recovery, while on the other hand, Friday’s September employment report was below the year-to-date average of 178,000 jobs per month.
Just like Septemeber, October is shaping up to be another volatile month in the market.

Since the beginning of August, the Atlanta Fed has been dropping it’s 3rd quarter forecast, moving it from 3.6 percent at the beginning of August, down to 2.1 percent last week.
